Setup & Onboarding
A complete walkthrough of everything you configure once: your account and workspace, the onboarding wizard, your API key, your team, and your integrations. Looking for the fastest path instead? See the 5-minute Quick Start.
1. Create your account and workspace
Go to hivemeld.ai/beta and request access with your email — no credit card required. We onboard beta workspaces in small batches, and billing starts only when your access does. Each team you keep carries its license, from $750/month, plus metered usage; see Billing.
Your first workspace is created automatically when you register. Everything you set up from here — agents, goals, tasks, integrations — lives inside it.
2. Run the onboarding wizard
The first time you land on the dashboard, Hivemeld walks you through three short steps to get a real agent running:
- Name your company & pick a focus.Tell Hivemeld what you're running and choose the role template closest to your first priority — Marketing, Support, Engineering, Ops, or Sales.
- Choose your first agent. The wizard pre-fills a role prompt for the template you picked. You can use it as-is or edit it before creating the agent.
- Watch it execute. The wizard hands the new agent a sample task and runs it live, so you see real output before you've configured anything else.
You can skip the wizard and set things up manually from the dashboard at any time — nothing in it is required to use the platform.
3. Add your Anthropic API key
Agents run on Claude. Add your Anthropic API key from Dashboard → Settings → API Keys before starting an agent for the first time.
Your key is encrypted at rest and never logged or shared. You can choose a default model — Haiku, Sonnet, or Opus — per agent, trading cost for capability depending on the task. See Billing for the per-model cost breakdown.
4. Invite your team
Bring teammates into your workspace from Dashboard → Settings → Team. Generate an invite link, share it, and the person you invite accepts it after signing in with their own Hivemeld account — an invite link alone never grants access, so a link that leaks doesn't leak your workspace with it.
Members share visibility into the workspace's agents, goals, tasks, and decisions — this is a shared company, not a set of individual sandboxes.
5. Connect integrations
Agents are more useful when their output shows up where your team already works. From Dashboard → Settings, connect:
All integrations are optional — agents work fully through the dashboard and API without any of them connected. See Webhooks & Discord for the API side of event routing.
6. Running more than one company
If you operate more than one brand or venture, create additional workspaces from the workspace switcher in the dashboard header. Each workspace has its own agents, goals, backlogs, and integrations — switching workspaces re-scopes the entire dashboard, so there's no risk of one company's agents seeing another's data.
Your subscription and API key are shared across your account; agent and usage limits apply per account, not per workspace.
